Tropical typhoon Sendong devastated Cagayan de Oro, leaving families homeless and caused the death of over 1500 people. Most of the people who died were asleep. Rain poured heavily and caused landslides and flash floods.Sendong affected 29 municipalities, 278 barangays and 53,240 families (161,437 persons). Victims stayed i evacuation centers but risks of having diseases increased like diarrhea, and leptospirosis. Donations from different parts of the country and even internationally came, giving rays of sunlight to the lives of the victims of the typhoon but this is still not enough. They need food, water, sleeping mats, mosquito nets, blankets, water, hygiene kits, body bags, dinnerware, slippers and clothing.

TRENDS: "MOVIES"

Silent House

The beautiful Elizabeth Olsen stars in this real-time horror film which is presented with no edits (though we suspect some sneaky ones).
Experience 88 minutes of continuous psychological terror as we follow a girl trapped in a scary house with…something.
Shiver! Not looking forward to watching this through my fingers in the cinema.

Upside Down

Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess are star-crossed lovers in a world where the class divide is not so much a line as two worlds sitting atop one another.
Don’t understand what the hell I’m describing? Watch the trailer…

Chronicle

Teens find mysterious crater. Get strange powers. Corruption ensues. This will not end well.
This teen drama looks like it has enough imagination to be at least entertaining even if the plot sounds a lot like the plot of TV series Roswell.

3 Beauty Trends to Look Forward to in 2012

Look into my crystal ball—I'm about to tell you what 3 trends we have coming up in 2012 that I think you guys are going to be really excited about. Behold:

Trend 1: Super-bright nails!

Vivid! Eye-catching! Fun! Exclamation-pointy!!!! And great 'cause you can just pick a hue that looks good on you, as long as it's bright.

Trend 2: Bouncy ponytails.

Oh, so bouncy. It's all about volume, so make sure to have your teasing comb handy!

Trend 3: Shocking lipstick.

I'm sure the real trend will be way more wearable than this, but it sure makes for a pretty picture. Expect to see this in both matte and glossy finishes.

Which of these trends are you most looking forward to?
